Building a Community for PLATF9RM

PLATF9RM is one of the South Coast’s most vibrant coworking communities. My role was more than just driving traffic or managing comms, my focus was on creating a sense of community through brand activation—with events at the heart of the strategy.

Curating events at PLATF9RM was about bringing people together, in unexpected, authentic ways.

We were never about ‘networking’ in the traditional sense, but rather creating moments of delight and genuine human connection. Alongside my Events Executive, I curated and delivered 16 monthly events for both members and non-members, as well as larger-scale, ad-hoc conferences.

Work: Reinvented


Working for PLATF9RM sparked my interest in the evolving nature of the workplace. Our members were vibrant, thoughtful people who saw work differently—valuing connection and care over competition. Our community allowed that mindset to thrive.

In 2020, following the success of Kickass Women, I curated and executed a full-day conference for PLATF9RM titled Work: Reinvented.

The event aimed to explore what “work” really means in a post-pandemic world. With 9 speakers including keynotes, workshops, and panel discussions, Work: Reinvented was a sold-out success and cemented PLATF9RM’s role as a convener of fresh thinking in the workspace sector..

Community building through Digital

Alongside live experiences, I focused on using digital marketing to deepen engagement with our community—both online and offline. I led a full website redevelopment to better reflect the energy and values of the brand, and oversaw our digital comms across email, social media, and paid channels.

I managed external specialists in PPC, content, and social media, ensuring our messaging remained consistent and community-first. Every digital touchpoint—from acquisition to retention—was shaped with the goal of strengthening connection, increasing engagement, and growing the PLATF9RM brand in meaningful ways.
