Kickass Women 3 – A Sold-Out Celebration of Bold & Borderless Women for International Women’s Day 2022

The challenge

After a year-long hiatus, Kickass Women needed a strong comeback. Founded in 2019 as a platform to uplift and showcase inspiring women in the community, the event had built a loyal following. However, with the gap in momentum and changing audience expectations post-pandemic, the challenge was to relaunch it in a way that felt fresh, relevant, and impactful—while ensuring strong attendance and engagement.

The Approach


As the curator and lead organiser, I developed the #BoldAndBorderless theme to celebrate the fearless, boundary-pushing women in our community. Managing the event from concept to execution, I:

  • Crafted a compelling narrative and marketing strategy to reintroduce the event

  • Secured 10 inspiring speakers from across the world and engaging programming to deliver real impact

  • Led a team to manage logistics, partnerships, and event production for a full 9 hour event

  • Designed and executed a promotional campaign to drive ticket sales and community buzz

  • Ensured a seamless event experience that left a lasting impression on attendees

The Result

Kickass Women 3 was a sold-out success, bringing together 120 guests for a day of inspiration, connection, and empowerment. The event reaffirmed its place as a must-attend experience, celebrating bold women and fostering meaningful community connections.
